All necessary equipment — paddles and balls — is available on-site, so all you need is the desire to play!
Also known as ping-pong or pinks, table tennis originated in late 19th century England, where it was first played as a parlor game on dining tables. Today, it has become one of the world’s most popular sports, played in backyards and at the Olympics alike. Table tennis is fast, skill-building, and fun — perfect even for the youngest family members!
Simple rules, lots of fun:
- The game starts with a serve — the ball must bounce once on the server’s side before crossing over to the opponent’s side.
- A point is scored when the opponent fails to correctly return the ball (if the ball hits the net, goes out, or doesn’t bounce).
- The serve changes every two points.
- A game is played to 11 points. To win, a player must have at least a two-point lead.
- The match is won by the player who wins three games (best of five).
