Kallaste Turismitalu invites you to explore the cozy Forest House Aili! Our cottages offer a perfect stopover and affordable accommodation where you can relax peacefully and enjoy the beauty of nature. Whether you’re with family, friends, or enjoying romantic moments for two, our forest houses are the perfect choice to escape everyday routines and spend quality time in nature.
Campfire and grilling facilities at every cottage
Each cottage has pleasant campfire and grilling facilities where you can enjoy evenings with friends or family. Firewood and charcoal can be brought along or ordered from us upon request. All guests have access to a shared kitchen equipped with everything needed to prepare delicious meals. Additionally, there is a washing machine available by arrangement. The shared kitchen, toilets, and showers are located in the Courtyard House with separate entrances, providing guests with comfort and privacy.

- One room with: 1 narrow bed, 1 wide bed, 1 narrow fold-out armchair
- Amenities: Private location, with a grill and campfire spot next to the house

Want to use the sauna?
Right near the accommodation is Sauna Heino (ask about the shared sauna option), and a bit further away is the barrel sauna Henn (inquire about private rental), which is an ideal place both for peaceful private sauna experiences and for a fun gathering with friends. Sauna Henn features a wood-fired steam room where you can enjoy an authentic sauna experience, as well as a small lounge area to sit, relax, and comfortably change clothes. The sauna is located right on the pond’s shore, with a convenient staircase leading into the water — perfect for a refreshing swim after a hot steam.
No matter the season — warm sunshine or crisp morning air — Forest House Aili is always a gentle retreat. It offers shelter from the fast, noisy rhythm of everyday life. Here, time slows down. People wander along quiet forest paths, filling their pockets with mushrooms, berries, and thoughts they didn’t know they needed. Buckets of memories are gathered — the kind you take home and carry in your heart. This house isn’t just a cabin in the woods. It feels more like a secret room hidden by nature. A place that holds peace, balance, and a little bit of earth’s quiet magic.
Mrs. Aili is no ordinary woman
In the nearby villages, she is known as quiet, wise — almost like the forest itself. She rarely speaks. But when she does, every word feels like a truth unearthed from deep, mossy ground. No one knows exactly how long she has lived in the Kallaste woods. Her eyes reflect more time than seems possible.
Each early morning, she appears with a knitted shawl over her head, gathering reindeer moss. She moves lightly, almost as if she doesn’t touch the ground at all. From this moss, she brews her famous healing tea — a recipe she has never shared. Some say she’s been drinking it for 130 years. And with her bright eyes and upright posture, who would doubt it?
If your throat is sore, Aili might tell you to wrap smoked herring around your neck and bury it in the woods overnight. If your knee is swollen, only a wormwood vodka compress made under the full moon will do. She doesn’t learn from books. Her knowledge comes from the earth, the trees, birdsong, and wind.
This is the soul that lives within Forest House Aili.
