Kallaste Turismitalu invites you to explore the cozy River Cabin Helmi! Our cottages provide a wonderful stopover and affordable accommodation where you can relax peacefully and enjoy the beauty of nature. Whether you’re with family, friends, or sharing romantic moments for two — our cottages are the perfect choice to escape the daily routine and spend quality time in nature.
Campfire and barbecue facilities at every cottage
All cottages feature pleasant campfire and barbecue spots where you can enjoy evenings with friends or family. Firewood and charcoal can be brought along or ordered from us if you wish. All guests of the farm have access to a shared kitchen equipped with everything needed to prepare delicious meals. There is also a washing machine available by prior arrangement. The shared kitchen, toilets, and shower rooms are located in the courtyard house with separate entrances, offering comfort and privacy.
River Cabin Helmi features:
- Size: 10 m² | Sleeps up to 3 people (+ 2 on the loft)
- Rooms and furnishings: One spacious room with 1 wide bed, 1 narrow fold-out armchair, and in summer, 2 mattresses can be added on the loft.
- Amenities: Covered terrace in front of the house, private barbecue and campfire spot next to the cottage.
- Shared facilities: Courtyard house (about 200m away) with WC, shower, and outdoor kitchen. Shower in Heino house (50m away) is also available if possible.
- Location: The River Cabin is privately situated on the edge of a beautiful pine forest by the Kloostri River.

Would you like to use the sauna?
Right near the accommodation is the Heino sauna (ask about the shared sauna option) and a little further away is the barrel sauna Henn (ask about private rental), which is an ideal place for both peaceful private sauna sessions and fun gatherings with friends. The sauna at Henn features a wood-fired steam room where you can enjoy an authentic sauna experience, as well as a small anteroom to sit, relax, and comfortably change clothes. The sauna is located directly by the pond, with a convenient stairway leading into the water — perfect for a refreshing swim after a hot sauna session.
Helmi
Miss Helmi’s heart beats to the rhythm of nature. She likes to sit on the steps of her small forest cabin, eyes directed toward the river flowing past her like time itself – slow, almost inaudible, yet stubbornly persistent. The river never stops, but it does not rush either. It moves thoughtfully, sometimes reflecting the sky, other times hiding its depths beneath. For Miss Helmi, this river is like life itself – constantly changing, yet always present, full of mysteries that need not be fully understood.
In spring, when the snow melts and the ice gives way, the water rises and reaches the reeds along the shore. Then it seems as if the river momentarily forgets its modesty and boldly stretches wider – like a curious traveler wanting to touch something unseen and unknown until now. This is the time when Miss Helmi feels especially alive – just when nature breaks free from winter’s sleep and brings with it promises, memories, and new beginnings.
Helmi’s cabin, with windows overlooking this flowing wonder, is a place where time loses its meaning. Here you can sit in silence, listen to the distant whisper of the water, and understand that sometimes just one moment – one glance – is enough to feel connected to something greater and older than ourselves. It is right there, by that river, that life may begin to flow in a new direction.
