Padise Health and Ski Trails
The Padise Health Trails stretch across a beautiful, gently rolling landscape, mostly covered with fragrant pine forest — a place where peace and nature create the perfect atmosphere for a refreshing outdoor experience.
Much of the trail meanders along the banks of the Kloostri River, offering picturesque views of Padise’s natural and cultural treasures. Nearby, you can explore the historic Padise Monastery, the manor complex, and the ancient hillfort — all within easy reach.
The trail network is diverse and varied, making it ideal for walking, running, hiking, cycling, Nordic walking, and, in the winter season, cross-country skiing.
The terrain offers a pleasant mix of flat and slightly hilly sections, with a maximum elevation difference of about 15 metres and climbs stretching up to 300 metres. The longest loop covers 6.3 km, but the routes can easily be combined, allowing everyone to choose a distance and difficulty level that suits them best.
A 1.1 km section of the trail is illuminated and can be used in both directions, forming a 2.2 km lighted loop for evening skiing or walking.
The lighting can be switched on manually — the main switch is located on the wall of the substation building next to the Padise boiler house (by the door). The boiler house staff will take care of switching it off.
The trails are open only when there is natural snow, so it’s worth checking the current conditions before you go.
