Massage and wellness experience embraced by nature
At Kallaste Turismitalu, peace, nature, and caring touch come together. Our guests can enjoy various massages performed by experienced masseurs in a specially designed massage room at Kalmer’s Manor. The cozy atmosphere, professional specialists, soothing music, and carefully selected oils help you fully relax. Massage is an ideal addition to all kinds of events, such as the end of a seminar day, a holiday, sauna sessions, or a romantic weekend. Upon request, couple massages for two people can also be booked simultaneously.
We offer the following types of massages:
A relaxing and restorative massage that relieves muscle tension and improves blood circulation. It is well suited for stress relief and boosting overall body tone.
Warm stones and gentle movements help the body to deeply relax. If you haven’t experienced this before, hot stone massage offers a unique sensation! It’s perfect for those seeking peace, warmth, and complete tension release.
A massage performed with honey stimulates blood circulation and helps eliminate toxins. At the same time, honey naturally moisturizes and softens the skin.
Aromatherapy oils and gentle touch create deep relaxation. Ideal for those experiencing fatigue, insomnia, or simply seeking a moment of well-being.
A stronger massage based on stretches and pressure points that stimulates energy flow and improves flexibility. A traditional Eastern therapy for those seeking something more intensive.
Share relaxation together – two people, two masseurs, and one peaceful room. The perfect gift and shared experience.
Scientifically Proven Benefits – What Massage Really Does for Our Body and Mind
The positive effects of massage are not just subjective – its benefits are backed by scientific research. Here are some evidence-based facts:
- Relief of Muscle Tension and Pain: Studies show that regular massage helps reduce chronic muscle tension and pain, especially in the lower back and neck areas (Bronfort et al., 2010; Furlan et al., 2008).
- Reduction of Stress Hormones: Massage significantly lowers cortisol (the stress hormone) levels in the blood. At the same time, it increases the amount of feel-good hormones like dopamine and serotonin (Field, 2014).
- Improved Sleep Quality: Several studies indicate that massage improves sleep depth and duration, especially for those suffering from insomnia, anxiety, or pain.
- Immune System Support: Massage stimulates lymphatic circulation, helping the body eliminate toxins faster and strengthen immunity (Rapaport et al., 2010).
- Psychological Grounding: Through touch and bodywork, body awareness and presence improve – this helps reduce anxiety, increase mindfulness, and boost overall mood (Moyer et al., 2004).
In summary, massage is not just a relaxing luxury but a supportive and restorative care that enhances quality of life for both body and mind.
Well-being of the Human Body – Discussion Circle
A discussion circle focusing on the well-being of the human body – reconnecting with your body and the Earth!
Do you hear the quiet signals from your body, or have you rushed past them in daily life? We discuss forgotten wisdom and how to proactively care for yourself. The wellness discussion circle at Kallaste Turismitalu creates a safe space where we can slow down, listen, and truly be present – both in our bodies and in nature. We talk about how to feel good in your body, support your health simply yet deeply, and restore connection with yourself and Mother Earth. Everyone is welcome to join the conversation, ask questions, and listen. Sometimes new topics emerge that encourage participants to explore and connect further. One or more speakers participate, who may speak independently or as the audience in place of others.
Topics include:
- Simple daily choices that support your body’s own wisdom
- Why body awareness, movement, and mindful presence are keys to mental and physical well-being
- What grounding/earthing is—physical connection to the Earth—and why it matters
- Simple daily choices that support your body’s own wisdom (repeated for emphasis)
- Discussions about light, sleep, movement, water, food, and hugs
The discussion circle is not meant to be a lecture or presentation but ideally a friendly conversation circle where you can listen, share (if you wish), and just be present.
