Canoeing on the Kloostri River<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At Elamustalu, a pleasant opportunity awaits you to explore the surrounding nature by canoe on the Kloostri River. We have a stable and spacious canoe that comfortably fits 2 to 4 people \u2013 perfect for families, friends, or a romantic trip for two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paddles and life jackets are available at our reception. If no one is there at the moment, just call +372 507 6138 \u2013 we will gladly assist you!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The charm of the Kloostri River<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Kloostri River is quiet and calm, winding through picturesque landscapes, green meadows, and forest edges. Every canoe trip offers something new \u2013 sometimes you might spot waterfowl, notice grass snakes, or see our farm animals from a different perspective. It\u2019s an ideal place to slow down and enjoy the beauty of Estonian nature in all its uniqueness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Water safety during canoeing<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Canoeing on the Kloostri River is peaceful and enjoyable, but water safety is always important. Before setting off, make sure everyone is wearing a properly fastened life jacket \u2013 these are provided free of charge by us. Entering and exiting the canoe should be done slowly and steadily to avoid sudden movements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Standing in the canoe can easily cause loss of balance, so always remain seated and distribute your weight evenly. Pay attention to weather conditions and avoid paddling in strong wind, rain, or dusk. When canoeing with children, at least one adult should be experienced and ready to assist.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A brief look at the history of the canoe<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The canoe is one of the oldest watercrafts, used for thousands of years. The first canoes were made by indigenous peoples \u2013 for example, the Native Americans \u2013 from hollowed-out tree trunks or bark to travel along rivers and lakes. Today, canoes are made from durable materials, but the genuine and direct connection with nature and the water environment remains. Canoeing is not just movement \u2013 it is a calm and mindful presence in nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
